Spring 2004 the Lake Area Rods and Classics Car Club was formed with a beginning membership of 22 families. Our goal was to form a Vintage Car related social club and to be an asset to our local communities. Our membership keeps growing as others hear of our exploits and see us in the area at nursing homes, business grand openings, Saturday night cruise to restaurants and car shows.
Since the beginning individual members have hosted a variety of events which include Progressive Dinner, BBQ, Fajita Fest, Homemade Ice Cream Social, Hot Dog and Hamburger Cookout, Christmas Party and an 800 mile cruise to Ft Davis, TX with a 4 day, 3 night stay at The Prude Guest Ranch. The cruise to Prude Ranch will be an annual event that always is great fun.
We help with the Burnet, TX Spring Bluebonnet Festival Car Show (Second weekend in April each year) providing parking help and grounds cleanup before and after the car show.
Fall of each year our members host the Lake Area Rods and Classics Fall Car Show. Club members do not participate in the awards or door prizes. Our show is located in the cool shade of Hamilton Creek Park, Burnet, TX which is located on SH 29, just 1/2 mile West of SH 281.
